Eko is an early- and growth-stage investor with profound experiences in assorted industries. Prior to venture capital, Eko held over a decade of investment and strategy roles in regional private equity, major listed corporate, and M&A/ capital market advisory.
In Alpha JWC, he currently leads Alpha JWC’s end-to-end investment activities, strategy and operations, covering both new and follow-on deals. He also assumes an active portfolio management role, advising founders in their strategic direction, growth initiatives, and fundraisings.
Prior to joining Alpha JWC, Eko was Vice President of Investment in Creador, a regional PE fund focusing on growth capital investments across SEA and India, where he was responsible for domestic and regional deal sourcing and execution, portfolio management and exits. He was also involved in multiple key portfolio value creation projects covering organic & inorganic regional expansion, operations improvement, etc. Before that, Eko served as Manager in Corporate Development & Strategy division of Astra International Tbk. (IDX: ASII), part of Jardine Group of companies, where his team spearheads the group’s major investment and business development initiatives, from greenfield, joint-venture to buyout deals, as well as strategic internal projects: corporate restructuring, spin-off and IPOs.
Prior to his buy-side role, Eko served as Corporate Finance Manager in PwC where he advised on end-to-end M&A and capital market transactions for local and multinational corporations and PEs. He was consistently placed as top-ranked consultant during his 5-year tenure. Earlier in his career, Eko was a Regional Banker in ANZ Bank Singapore, managing P&L and budgeting for their retail, corporate and private banking units across 9 Asia Pacific countries.
He currently sits on the board of Hangry, Zenius, Noice, ESB, and Sayurbox.
Eko obtained a BBA degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with triple majors in Finance, Investment & Banking, Marketing and Economics.
